ROMANCE AT FORTY IN A HUNDRED

Scott Ryan

George Furth said in Company. “Divorce. One word means all of that.”

When you go through one, you vow you’ll never do that again. But then you see her at a new job, in a new city, and you forget that it means all of that.

I fell in love—and marriage—for the second time at forty. I literally now have red headed step-children. Two of them. Does anyone know how much you must love another human being to take on two red headed step-children? But there is a flip side. “Love. One word means all of that, too.”
